A rare & distinctive Rose made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes. Quite light, fragrant and very subtle. This is a wine to think about & enjoy when you have time to appreciate its charm!!

POUILLY FUME Domaine le Petit Soumard AC 2009

Sauvignon from just across the Loire from Sancerre - Slightly different , maybe a bit smoother & rounder if you could say that about a fresh zingy crisp dry Sauvignon. Petit Soumard like to keep their wines for a while in bottle for roundness. Great style & value - yes - value at £12.75! Another wine that is on strict allocation.
The 2009 is an absolute star - just bursting with fresh crisp flavours & so much concentration - a real recommendation....

MENETOU-SALON Domaine de Loye 2007 AC

The lesser known neighbour to Sancerre & Pouilly Fume - still 100% Sauvignon of the same style. If anything generally a bit more steely dry and fresh because of the poorer soils. Really good wine with fresh clean & crisp acidity & flavour. Long & interesting. The 2007 vintage is tingly fresh & dry with good acidity - more roundness & flavour.
