Beaujolais is a French wine made from the Gamay grape which has been used since the fourteen hundreds , usually red and best drank within the first three years if its life. There are exceptions in the form of the crus variety which can be kept for ten years, these wines generally get better with age. There is a variety of Beaujolais called Nouveau, this wine should be consumed within a few months otherwise it will spoil
Brouilly Baronne du Chatelard is a two thousand and four Beaujolais and happens to be one of our favourite Beaujolais, showing all the style of the fruity Gamay grape variety. This wine is full, rich and fruity with a gentle spiciness you’ll love. Staying true to the full traditions of the best Beaujolais it is perfect for summer evenings. All in all this is a great wine from this wonderful two thousand and four Vintage, long and tingly, and leaving you begging for more.
