Chateau Simian

The three generations of Chateau Simian (Left to right: Jean Pierre, Yves and Florian)

Chateau Simian has an interesting history....in 1920 the owner Sophie left the vines to Marcelle, one of the workers as she had no direct successors. Marcelle and her husband continued with the business until 1955, when their daughter married winegrower Yves. Their son, Jean Pierre then took over in 1981 and introduced maturing and bottling wine on his own land. Currently, three generations work together; Yves, Jean Pierre and Florien.

The estate now has 25 hectares of vineyards, of which 6 of these are Chateauneuf du Pape.
