Château Caronne Ste Gemme Haut Médoc 2019
Dating from 1648, Caronne has been in the hands of the Nony family since the 19th century. Situated just 500 metres from St. Julien. The soils are iron-rich clay sandstone, which produce an elegant Haut-Medoc with the capacity to age beautifully.
The 2019 Caronne Ste-Gemme has notes of dark cherry and mulberries on the nose, with gravelly undertones. The tannins are silky and refined, and there is a lovely definition on the finish.
