Chateau Jany is actually in Barsac but adopts the Sauternes designation (Barsac being a sub-district thereof). It`s a small property making just 250 cases a year from 90% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon and 5% Muscadelle. Made from late harvested Semillon grapes grown on the left bank of the river Garonne. Chateau Jany Sauternes is a rich and aromatic dessert wine with notes of grapefruit and lemon on the nose and concentrated flavours of apricot and mango. For quality Sauternes this is exceptional value offering that classic barley sugar botrytis sweetness with wonderfully fresh balancing acidity.
