From a relatively cool site in Bannockburn and produced during a cool growing season the result is a wine with great tension and incredible layers of red fruit, spice and earth. This Valli Bannockburn Central Otago wine has aromas that are both intriguing and complex. There are hints of fresh berry, wild game, gun smoke, baking spice and wild thyme. The palate is lengthy and bright with cherry, blackcurrant, cardamom and delicious savoury undertones. Silky fine tannins compliment the vibrant acidity giving the wine length and memory.
